So here it is!

Our first completely finished track!

While we wait for our first album “The Band, Not The Place” to be completed, we took the chance to introduce our excellent, talented and simply superb new singer, Corina. We thought we’d do something a little different and so we took this opportunity to do one of Peter Gabriel’s old hits called Games Without Frontiers.

Mr. Gabriel has done a few different versions of the song himself, but never something as crazy as this. The track has been done with exactly the same idiosyncratic noise we normally apply to all our own music. We have had great feedback for the two small clips we uploaded from the track and really enjoyed doing this classic track.

Games Without Frontiers will be available for download in just over a week and we will keep you updated, but you can hear the full track streaming right now!

As if that wasn’t enough we have managed to get number 1 in the Reverbnation global Celtic charts! Thanks to everyone that has helped us get there.

“Anchorage Alaska is arguably the finest all-around artist on ReverbNation. The music here cuts across all boundaries: genre; geography; listening demographic. I cannot heap enough superlatives on this wonderful group of musicians.”  — Howard Lawrence, Reverbnation
“Playing A Lonely Hunter. Listen to this. The cool thing about Anchorage is their talent and distinct ability to mix lots a real cool stuff together and have it come out awesome on the other end. Great musicianship here. Great vox and Im loving what the bass player is saying”  — Joe – NYC Guitarist, Reverbnation – comments
“…Anchorage Alaska are solid craftsmen, they never push their creativity over the top, with exhausting layers of meaningless music and stretched out instrumental solos. Everything is neatly and tightly packaged where you expect it to be, never too little, never too much…just the right amount to keep you coming back for more. Exactly like a Spielberg movie!”  — Rick Jamm – editor of JamSphere, JamSphere
