Darana Campbell is a local artist who lives and works in the Chattanooga area. Born in 1988, she was raised in this part of the state near friends and family. After graduating from Hixson High School in 2006, Campbell began attending the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In May of 2011, she received a Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in drawing and painting. Some of the artist’s past exhibitions include the Best First Friday Exhibit at Graffiti Gallery, an All Member Salon Show at AVA, a National Juried Exhibition at the Customs House Museum in Clarksville, TN, the Senior Thesis Exhibition at the Cress Gallery and Weightlessness exhibition at Apothecary in 2011. She has also participated in Take Art/Leave Art at AVA and Juried Student Exhibitions at the Cress Gallery over the past few years.
