The book’s foundation is that we parents are responsible for providing healthy food and kids are responsible for how much or even whether they eat. Apple is doing well in this market with the iPhone but people are really interested in the G1 and Android as a platform. I know it’s not as open as it could be in some respects and Google has a monopoly of it’s own but it looks like a decent platform to me. It’s certainly more open than the iPhone and it’s got a Linux kernel under the hood after all. The idea of carrying your computer in your pocket and just connecting it to peripherals when needed is appealing I agree.

You should read “How to get your kid to eat, but not too much” by Ellyn Satter. Wordy title for a great book. The book’s foundation is that we parents are responsible for providing healthy food and kids are responsible for how much or even whether they eat. It also revealed to me, how we unconsciously pass on our eating hang-ups to our children. Seriously worth a read. It won’t end the messiness, but mealtimes will be stress free. (Amazon link)

Even though I have obsessed about pro wrestling almost my entire life, I had never really stopped to think about this aspect of the sport, and how the belts look on a pro wrestler’s body. I think this may have something to do with the fact that I grew up watching British pro wrestling where title belts were less of a feature. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

Apple is doing well in this market with the iPhone but people are really interested in the G1 and Android as a platform. I know it’s not as open as it could be in some respects and Google has a monopoly of it’s own but it looks like a decent platform to me. It’s certainly more open than the iPhone and it’s got a Linux kernel under the hood after all. The idea of carrying your computer in your pocket and just connecting it to peripherals when needed is appealing I agree.

My argument was that the people who are militant about weed — pot leaf stickers everywhere, "Legalize It" t-shirts, celebrating 4/20, all that crap — are really just the opposite end of the spectrum from the gun-worshiping NRA types. They've hit on a one-note political cause and have allowed it to completely define them.
Good point, but I think you need a program, preferably well formulated, before you can “effectuate” one. This one is still a work in progress. According to the note at the top of the page, this is all part of “convening a discussion.” I’d rather that than be told, “Here is the program: take it or leave it. We know best.”What about adjuncts in states where there is no union program for them? State with right to work laws and those where it is illegal for adjuncts to organize? I have decided to wait until January to begin potty-training Olivia. She has shown almost NO interest in learning, so why bother?
