TELLING STORIES
GIORGOS KONTRAFOURIS PIANO TRIO
with TERRY VAKIRTZOGLOU

Pioneer of the Greek jazz scene Giorgos Kontrafouris in his piano trio is joined by the remarkably talented up-and-comer Terry Vakirtzoglou for the unique performance “Telling Stories.” Kontrafouris will lead two formidable musicians—Mr. Petros Klampanis, bass, and Mr. George Kostelatos, drums—to present new arrangements by classical jazz and contemporary Greek composers. In their signature improvisational style, the band will explore the stories hiding behind the lyrics to rediscover and reinterpret tradition.
