Welcome to the first edition of my new newsletter ‘Adventures of a Sleepless Songwriter!’

One of my new year’s resolutions is to keep you better updated about my record, shows and life in general, so I’ll be sending out this news blast on a monthly basis.

Right now, I’m gearing up to go back in the recording studio on Jan. 30. We’re so close to finishing my little 6-song EP and I can’t wait for you to hear it! We’ll be mastering the first single the following week, so I’ve got my fingers crossed that I’ll have something up on itunes for you really soon.

Looking back, 2013 was a wonderful year for me!

Over the past year, I’ve gotten to play at lots of great venues as I continued to work on my record.

I found a new love in the piano, and while I am still learning, I hope to be playing my keyboard at shows soon.

I also underwent an eight-month training program to become a Kripalu Yoga Teacher, an experience that was life-changing for me. I’ve recently been teaching classes for both teenagers and adults, and I absolutely love it.

And while we’re on the subject of new loves, this past year we rescued two beautiful foxhounds – Gatsby and Dalton – two sweet spirits who have turned my world upside down and brought so much more joy to my life!

In honor of my sweet boys, I am teaming up with Homeward Trails Animal Rescue to feature a local adoptable dog each month in this newsletter. This month, I’d like you to meet Smiley, a beautiful foxhound who loves to play fetch (pretty rare for a hound) . . .

And while we’re on the subject of dogs. . .If you are in the DC area, keep a look out for this sweet boy, who got away from his owner in November and is still missing. 2013 was also a great year for my family!
