2020

There was a scaled back Producers Choice Honors event (50 in an 1100 capacity room) but not only did my band with Kara Turner, Dan McNay (along with the great Gary Ferguson, Tatiana Erse, Randy Scoles and John Greathouse filling in for those who couldn’t make it!) absolutely slay during our set after the awards but It felt so good to play again I can’t even describe how great it felt…..I’d like to thanks Brian Scott for taking such good care of the band with all the challenging issues they had to face following COVID protocol properly…..and once again, thanks to Al Bowman who presented me with this beautiful crystal piece honoring my production on ‘Believe’ for ‘Outstanding Production of the Year’…….it is insanely beautiful and getting it for my production work on ‘Believe’ means more to me than I can say…….

2017

I had a great time doing the Steeler reunion in Ohio this past weekend…….it was awesome to reconnect with old friends that I haven’t seen in a very long time and a pleasure to make a bunch of new friends…..if there is one thing Ron Keel might have learned from working with Yngwie, it must have been to make sure you surround yourself with nice people in your band as the guys from both Keel and the Ron Keel Band are as good as they come…….I had a blast hanging out and making music with you all, thanks!

Beach Time!!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to jamming with our good friend Steve Aguilar on keys today as well as adding Dale Chung on percussion!!!! Groove time to boot!!! can’t wait to see y’all there, remember it’s from 5ish until we’re done!!!!

I’d like to thank Guitar Player Magazine for being nice enough to tell this story in last November’s issue……Much appreciation to Matt Blackett………

“It was 1987, and I hanging out at a hotel pool in Southern California with [bassist] Pete Way, talking about joining his band Waysted,” says Perry, who has done a ton of cool gigs over the years, including being the first guitarist in Quiet Riot after…
