FRANK BANDY
RIP FRANK BANDY: My Heart Is Heavy With The Passing Of My Fellow Blues Brother Of 30+ Years. Frank‘s Encouragement & Friendship Is What Pushed Me To Always Keep Growing As A Musician. I Also Got Lots Of First-Hand Teaching On How To Record And Distribute Blues Music By Watching His Success With Teardrop Records.
When He Approached Me A Couple Of Years Ago About Some Stomach Difficulties He Was Experiencing, I Referred Him To A Colleague For Tests And Was Heartbroken When We Found Out It Was Cancer. Frank Took The News Bravely As He Prepared To Undergo Intensive But Potentially Life-Saving Treatment.
Frank Never Lost His Positive Attitude And Always Remained Hopeful That He Could Beat Cancer. Sadly, Even With The Latest Treatment Protocols, Great Family Support And Positive Attitude . . Cancer Unfortunately Prevailed.
The Entire Bandy Family Is Amazing . . My Prayers Go Out To Them With The Loss Of A Truly Kind And Beautiful Man.
Peace & Love
I met Frank in Ohio. We traveled to California in ( I think) 1971? We traveled in a VW Van looking for our future. California proved to be a Mecca for us. Frank loved photography & enjoyed the colorful variety of subjects. We were close. Often wondered what became of such an inquisitive creative mind. He WAS kind , good hearted and definitely one of a kind. I’m glad he got into music more deeply.
