One of the even more intimidating factors is how many indie authors who already see phenomenal sales have recently lowered their price to $.99. I don’t have my own children but I tell the kids I watch that brushing your teeth is the “in” thing that teenagers love to do. They want to be cool like the older kids so it’s pretty easy to get them to brush! I also brush with them so we make a game out of it.

IMO the price tag look is hit or miss. If it’s integrated into the layout correctly it can be very effective to help highlight a certain piece of information. Otherwise it just looks like it’s thrown in to be trendy. I also prefer it being used as a highlight of a design rather than the main focus, but again that’s just my opinion. Great list though. Scott, I think $2.99 is the sweet spot, especially for unknown authors in a competitive market where the Big 6 are pricing books at $7.99-$9.99. One of the even more intimidating factors is how many indie authors who already see phenomenal sales have recently lowered their price to $.99. I did the $.99 experiment for the last 2 weeks of February, so I’m anxious to see what happens when I raise it back up to $2.99.

Okay, Elphaba.I donated money once from Craigslist sales, and while I’m glad I did so, the selling part WAS such a huge pain in the ass. What surprised me was what people actually bought! The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
