SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED

The Syngenta Photography Award is pleased to announce the six shortlisted finalists for its third edition (2016/17). Responding to the theme of Grow-Conserve, photographers were invited to enter in two categories – the Professional Commission and the Open Competition.
The shortlisted photographers in the Professional Commission, are:
Lucas Foglia (USA)
Claudia Jaguaribe (Brazil)
Yan Wang Preston (United Kingdom)
The shortlisted photographers in the Open Competition category are:
Robin Friend (United Kingdom)
Matt Hamon (USA)
Kenneth O’ Halloran (Ireland)
The winners will be announced at an award ceremony on March 1, 2017 at the Carnegie Library in Washington DC – a grand early twentieth-century building that served as the city’s central public library for almost 70 years. The winning photographs will be exhibited alongside a selection of images from the competition first at the Library (March 2 – March 31, 2017) and thereafter in various international venues.
