Typical sales of five to seven guns a day have risen to 20 to 30 in the last week, while gun-handling courses for November and December are fast selling out. Violence erupted in the St Louis, Missouri suburb for a second night on November 25 over the decision by a grand jury not to prosecute a white police officer for shooting dead Brown, an unarmed black teenager. Friends,

There are some harsh realities we, as Black people, must acknowledge about living in America.
One of those realities is knowing that you’re never too educated, too successful, or too obedient to be sucked into the penal system. Another harsh reality is that the process of funneling people through prison starts as early as elementary school.
Systemic forms of racism such as the school-to-prison pipeline are real, and our children are the primary demographic being funneled into this vicious cycle.
This week, I’ve partnered with esteemed filmmakers to bring you a collection of educational documentaries you can use to educate children on what systemic racism is and how to overcome it.
The Conversation Bundle Package is a bundle of films, books, and audio lectures that are designed to educate you and your children about systemic racism.
Here’s a description of the products the package includes:
  • Pre-Order! Elementary Genocide 2: The Board of Education vs. The Board of Incarceration: Created by award-winning filmmaker Rahiem Shabazz, Elementary Genocide 2 features commentary from Dr. Umar Johnson, Chief Juvenile Court Judge Steven C. Teske, Dr. Boyce Watkins, Dr. Steve Perry, and many other credible scholars and activists. In this film, Shabazz uncovers the true purpose of today’s educational system and how it’s failing the African child.
  • Elementary Genocide: From Primary to Penitentiary (DVD): Featuring Dr. Umar Johnson, recording artist Killer Mike, finance scholar and social commentator Dr. Boyce Watkins, and many more, addresses the social, cultural, political and personal ramifications of how the federal government allots money to each state, to build prisons based on the failure rate of 4th and 5th graders.
  • Occupy Your Children: A Parent’s Guide to Avoiding Educational Landmines and Guiding Your Kids to the Top (Audio Digital Download): This audio product features in-depth conversations with four respected educators who understand the educational system and how to overcome its limitations.
  • New!  It Takes a Village to Raise the Bar: A New Paradigm for Black America (Visual Digital Download, i.e. E-book): After touring across the nation with his “A New Paradigm for Black America” community forum, Dr. Boyce Watkins shares advice on how to re-build Black America’s village, which has been destroyed by mass incarceration, and raise Black children to be builders instead of beggars.
  • On My Own (DVD): Created by independent filmmaker Rachel Bradshaw, OnMy Own is a 60-minute presentation exploring the over-whelming trend of single parenting in Black America. It includes commentary from fathers who are co-parenting, children living with feelings of resentment, abandonment and inadequacy, as well as community leaders and educators well-versed on the topic. The highly-acclaimed film has been selected for the UK BFM International Film Festival, New York Audience Now, and many other esteemed film festivals across the world.
The Conversation Bundle Package originally costs $83; however, we’re offering it to you on sale for $49.99. Click here to purchase before the sale ends.
There was a time when having ‘the conversation’ with your kids meant discussing sensitive topics such as the “birds and the bees.”
Today, ‘the conversation’ must include an open and honest dialogue about racism and how to overcome it.
The Conversation Bundle Package is designed to be family-friendly, allowing you to share it with the children at your church, your local YMCA, or even your local Boys & Girls Club.
Please don’t wait until a child in your life becomes another hash tag on social media to educate them about the systems that are eager to throw them in prison or in a grave.
It’s time to have these honest discussions right nowClick here to pre-order The Conversation Bundle Package on sale now.
Until we meet again, be blessed, be strong, and be educated.
Dr. Boyce Watkins
P.S. The Conversation Bundle Package retails at $83; however, for a limited time only, we’re offering it to you for $49.99. Click here before the sale ends.

The Bic South Africa Ad That Is Drawing Criticism

bic-south-africa

By Robert Stitt Bic makes pens. There are few things sexual about pens, unless they are those novelty pens that you turn upside down to see a picture un-robed. Even then, those are sold at novelty shops and truck stops so nobody has made any big complaints about them. Seems Bic found a way to make women mad. Again. In 2012, Ellen DeGeneres took on Bic for their “Pens for…

Friends,
Last year, award-winning filmmaker Rahiem Shabazz released a riveting documentary titled Elementary Genocide: From Primary to Penitentiary that explored the school-to-prison pipeline, a systemic cycle that funnels children into the prison industrial complex.
The film made headlines for exposing this damning process which largely affects Black children in poor neighborhoods.
Part 2 of the film, titled Elementary Genocide 2: The Board of Education vs. The Board of Incarceration, takes an even deeper look at the history of America’s school system and how it was made to subjugate Black Americans. It is on track to be one of the most discussed films in Black America, and for a limited time only, the Your Black World Network is inviting you to pre-order your DVD in an exclusive bundle package.
The Conversation Bundle Package is a bundle of films, books, and audio lectures that are designed to educate you and your children about systemic racism.
Here’s a description of the products the package includes:
  • Pre-Order! Elementary Genocide 2: The Board of Education vs. The Board of Incarceration (DVD): Created by award-winning filmmaker Rahiem Shabazz, Elementary Genocide 2 features commentary from Dr.
Check out some real five-star reviews for Elementary Genocide that were published on the Your Black World store:
“It is very eye-opening. I enjoyed the DVD and will use it to assist my children and others that I work with. Powerful!!” – Luther J.
“This video tells the chilling truth that racism is alive and well in the 21st century. The idea that another human plans how it will enslave another human for profit and to systematically keep the process going for hundreds of years is pathologically sick”. – Cheryl T.
“The information contained in the film was timely and on point! A “must see” for our entire community!”- Anthony T.
The Conversation Bundle Package is designed to be family-friendly, allowing you to share it with the children at your church, your local YMCA, or even your local Boys & Girls Club.
Our children deserve to know the truth — if not for sheer awareness, for survival. We’ve packaged the products to help you have these honest and tough conversations with the children in your life.
Until we meet again, be blessed, be strong, and be educated.
Dr. Boyce Watkins
P.S. The Conversation Bundle Package retails at $83; however, for a limited time only, we’re offering it to you on sale for $49.99. Click here before the sale ends.
