Happy new year, everybody! I’m hoping this finds you healthy, happy and not too hung over. I won’t lie, 2012 was good to me. A lucky year if there ever was one. Toured the world with John Fogerty and with my own band. Recorded with Mr. Fogerty and Bob Seger. Had a blissful moment onstage playing with Bruce Springsteen. Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London. headlined Iridium in New York City. Crossed one off my bucket list and played WWOZ Piano Night at House of Blues in New Orleans – a track from that is on the 2012 WWOZ Compilation CD. Began work on my 7th CD. Made lots of new friends and got to see old ones. I have no idea what 2013 will bring, but I hope it’s good for all of us! Here’s a photo album of highlights from the year – thanks to all of you who keep those fan photos coming!
I’m mostly laying low and working on my new record until the spring touring season starts, but we do have one show on Saturday February 2 at Arcadia Blues Club here in the LA area. Tickets for the show at this awesome venue are only $5 if you get them in advance – $10 at the door – so get them now right here!
I want to thank all of the great musicians I get to play with, the people who book my shows and keep everything running so well, my lovely and patient wife Karen Nash – and most of all you for coming back year after year to see the shows – you make this all possible. Here’s to an awesome 2013!
Here’s some video from our end-of-year show at The Mint in Los Angeles:
“You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch”
“Ain’t What You Know/Stay WIth Me”
See you out there!
Love, Bob
