Global Sports Organization, CONQA Sport, Launches In South Africa

Johannesburg, RSA – CONQA Sport is a global consulting, event management and sports entertainment organisation that focuses within the elite sports industry.

Operations starting in South Africa in early 2015, CONQA Sport’s vision and objective is to change the face of elite sport in South Africa and globally with its headquarters located in Johannesburg and offices in London.

CONQA Sport is going to change the way sport is perceived by creating a unique environment to showcase the most talented U19 school talent, and enhance professional development through its various elite programs. We will bring together the brightest minds in elite sport to identify and overcome challenges, as well as discuss varied winning theories and methodologies from different sports from around the world.

Our three verticals will enable us to address a wide range of needs and objectives in sport. The Elite Sport Summit will bring together leading coaches and practitioners from around the world to Cape Town for two days.

The Contest will focus on U19 school tournaments which will showcase some of the most promising talent globally, and our Consultancy vertical will utilise experts from various corporate and sporting organisations to discuss challenges and weaknesses they face.

CONQA Sport is backed by an outstanding executive board with internationally recognised names. These include Paddy Upton, Head Coach of the Rajasthan Royals (IPL Cricket) and the Sydney Thunder (KFC Big Bash), Wayne Diesel, Head of Medical Services at Tottenham Hotspur FC (BPL) as our medical expert and Professor Pieter Kruger, Director of LPP Consulting, the UK’s leading provider of clinical, business and elite sport service. They will be acting as executive consultants for CONQA Sport.

Together, we are ensuring we have the best people in the business. Mr Upton has vast experience in developing successful high performance teams globally, and has been at the forefront of taking two international cricket teams to the world’s number one ranking. Professor Kruger has over 12 years’ experience working in elite sport and is also the Director of the Institute of Psychology and Wellbeing (IPW) at North-West University. Paddy, Wayne and Pieter are invaluable additions to CONQA Sport.

“After spending my entire professional career in elite sport, and having worked with teams from the NFL, NBA and Premier League Football, to Olympic Governing Bodies, International Rugby Federations, as well as Super Rugby teams in the Southern Hemisphere, we identified a unique opportunity to develop elite sport in South Africa, and are very excited about our potential in my home country” says CONQA Sport CEO Justin Woolford.
