Jamie Cullum interview Hub

Jamie Cullum

Hi JEAN PAUL,

I hope you’re well.

Interview Hub has just confirmed a brand new 1-2-1 interview slot, which is fully exclusive to our clients, and I thought would be of interest for you and your readers.

This Wednesday 24th we’ll be spending some time with the award-winning broadcaster, song-writer and musician, Jamie Cullum, in the build-up to the release of his new album, ‘Interlude’, which is released worldwide on 6th October.

As the UK’s best-selling jazz artist, ever, Jamie has quite a CV and reputation within the industry. His musical taste is eclectic to say the least and his live reputation is well deserved as his sold out concerts pluck from the widest musical spectrum, from heart-breaking ballads through to live sampling and beat boxing. And then there’s his BBC Radio 2 show; the most listened to jazz broadcast in all of Europe.

The ‘Interlude’ album has also enabled Jamie to pursue another passion, that of photography. Jamie has long been a keen amateur when it comes to capturing a moment in time, and when considering artwork for the album he turned to his photographer friend Michael Agel. Cameras in hand they took advantage of his recent US tour to develop his skills behind the lens, taking shots of the people and places he encountered along the way, and Michael capturing Jamie, both off and on stage. “I have been fascinated by photography since rescuing my mum’s old camera from the attic as a child. It has been such a privilege to work with Michael and Leica and to share my own photos alongside the new music”. The resulting images can be seen on the front cover of ‘Interlude’ and in an exclusive photo booklet included in the deluxe version of the album.

We now have the opportunity to take in any specific questions and brief clients would like to commission – with any and all topics being covered; the new album, his musical influences, his photography passion, being a father to his two daughters with the model and author, Sophie Dahl.

From there we can provide a fully-edited written feature to any word-length, as either a straight Q&A or written-through feature, focussing on any brief/hook/story you stipulate and a selection of complimentary hi-res images can be provided at no extra cost.

As an additional opportunity, we will also be recording the interview on video so can create bespoke video features too which are fully-edited and fully-branded. Here are a few examples of similar features we’ve created in the recent past:

Would this opportunity be of interest for you and your readers? If so, or if you have any questions, please let me know ASAP so we can plan ahead accordingly.

Thanks,

Ben
