Jimi Hendrix tragically passed away at the age of 27 in London on September 18, 1970. He had been at a party the night prior, where he was picked up by his then girlfriend, Monika Dannemann, and brought to her apartment. On September 20, 1998, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum paid tribute to one of the founding fathers of blues, the late Robert Johnson. They conducted 4 days of concerts and activities which included special guest performances by; The Allman Brothers Band, Keb’Mo’ Peter Green, Sonny Landreth, Chris Whitley and David Honeyboy Edwards, to name a few.
