Dave Kaye

So many great memories with Dave Kaye, I can’t believe he’s gone. We started playing together in the mid 80’s, and worked together until around 2008. We toured a lot in the US, Canada, with the late great Mike Gibb and Germany with Honey Boy Edwards and Robert Cray. He’s the bassist on my 2005 Earwig Music release Back In Love Again. Dave was the life of every party, played solid, pocket bass and mentored many aspiring musicians. He worked hard and always pitched in with the load out and driving as well as the fun. He had wonderful personal style and an easy going attitude that made him a pleasant travel companion. He was also a good friend, devoted to his family and was loved. RIP, Dave, so sorry to see you go.
