The prodigious guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, singer JEF LEE JOHNSON aka Rainbow Crow passed away on January 28, 2013.
Bassist Extraordinaire Reggie Washington (Steve Coleman, Roy Hargrove, Branford Marsalis, World Saxophone Quartet, Cassandra Wilson, …) was a friend/teammate/band member with Jef since 1986.
Reggie felt the need to continue spreading his music, lyrics, spirit, … surrounded by the musicians Jef had in his heart all these years.
This Late Nite Groove Series, Reggie will be performing with guitarist Marvin Sewell (Lizz Wright, Joe Lovano, George Benson) and drummer Gene Lake (Dave Douglas, Marcus Miller, Davis Sanborn) and other special guests to honor this truly unique artist and his prestigious work …
