  LESSON / COACHING INFO!

If you are new to lessons with Dom here is how it works:
Dom teaches in Port Jefferson, New York.  It is about an hour and fifteen minutes out of New York City on the North shore of Long Island.  His lessons are $90 US Dollars per hour (payable by cash or check). Please let me know how many hours you would like to spend with Dom. He will then design a plan specifically for you!  He typically starts his teaching days at 9:00am and ends at 7:00pm (Eastern Standard Time). If you are coming in from out of town or out of the country, here are some web sites to check out to find a hotel to stay at:  www.hotels.com  www.travelocity.com or www.danfords.com  is a hotel right here on Port Jefferson about 3 minutes away. There are a lot of restaurants in Port Jefferson if you stay here.

If you stay in New York City, the train that will bring you to Port Jefferson is the Long Island Rail Road. Their web site is http://mta.info/lirr/  The LIRR schedules vary so please check to be sure that a train will be available when you need it.
If you are flying into the metropolitan New York area, local airports are LaGuardia, JFK, and MacArthur (located in Islip, NY).  Approximate distances between Port Jefferson, NY and each airport are:

LaGuardia: 55 miles
JFK: 55 miles
MacArthur: 17 miles

JFK offers the AirTrain, which is a shuttle service to Jamaica train station.  The Jamaica train station is a hub for LIRR trains that run at various times throughout the day.  There is a fee for the AirTrain and more information can be found here.

Individual taxi rides to and from the airports can be expensive.

I will schedule all of the lessons that you would like. Just let me know how many hours and what dates you would like to study with Dom.

**Please include your full name, phone number and indicate if you will be taking a ferry or train to the lesson with your lesson requests**

The studio address is:

-A good internet connection.
-The ability to move or adjust your camera so Dom can see you on a drum pad, a drum set, and see your feet if you want to work on them.
-You should email Dom an idea of what you want to work on during your lesson. Example: Double bass drumming, hand technique, pain in wrists etc…
-I will need your SKYPE address
– You will need to do a pre- lesson Skype call so you can be “accepted” into Dom’s address book.

Steven Crammer Teaches
at WizDOM DrumShed in Pennsylvania

Ever since he received his first drum set, at age six, Steven has had a passion for the instrument.  He began as a self-taught musician, learning his first grooves from his father. He has also performs in shows and presents drum clinics for schools.

Quotes:

“I have had the great opportunity of teaching Steven for several years. I have witnessed, first hand, a very dedicated musician in all aspects of drumming. I am very impressed with his commitment, hard work and perseverance to learn and share his talent and knowledge of the modern drum set .He is truly the next generation of great drum leaders to bring this art form well into the 21st century. I feel secure in knowing the continuation of this great art will be honored and taken to an even higher level of musicianship with Steven as a drumming wave maker!”
Dom Famularo – Drummings’ Global Ambassador, New York USA

“Steven has a great mixture of outstanding talents; he is definitely one of the rare students with technical and musical skills likewise. On top of that, he knows how to blend his talents with intellectual and conceptual understanding of what he does – which finally makes the big difference. Whether it’s playing open-handed, working on different styles of drumming or any technical detail; it is a pleasure to work with him and watch how fast he gets things done. I definitely see a great drumming future for Steven!”
Claus Hessler- International Clinician and Educator, Germany

“Steven,  Colin really looks forward to his weekly lesson with you. Your teaching skills and encouragement have helped him challenge himself to become a better drummer.  Not only does he really enjoy playing together with you during his lessons, but he is always telling us about different techniques he learns from you.  You make the hard work seem fun for him; he always leaves his lesson with a smile and enthusiasm to practice at home what you work on together.  We feel very fortunate to have found you and believe your current students and any future students would be as enthusiastic about you as we are.  We look forward to continuing to watch Colin improve as a musician under your professional instruction.”
Patti – Parent of Student
