Pour cette fin d’année, une nouvelle super photo ! Nous sommes en Suède le 16 janvier 1968, plus précisément à Göteborg. Jimi Hendrix est conduit au tribunal (ou en sort). Quelques jours plutôt, dans la nuit du 3 janvier, le guitariste a pété les plombs suite à un abus d’alcool, démolissant sa chambre d’hôtel n°623, se battant avec ses deux musiciens qui tentaient de le maîtriser, alertés par le bordel, les flics ont débarqué ! Son manager finira par aller le chercher en cellule de dégrisement. On n’a jamais su ce qu’il s’était passé précisément au départ. Jimi sera condamné à payer 3200 couronnes suédoises (soit environ 200£), l’hôtel n’a pas porté plainte car il a reçu 8000 couronnes du manager pour les dégâts (500£), ce qui coûta au groupe quand même environ 2000$ en tout. Mais les jeunes suédoises sont folles de joie

Jimi Hendrix Park is located in the heart of Seattle’s vibrant Central District (2400 South Massachusetts Street), a thriving multi-cultural community rich in heritage. Nestled adjacent to the Northwest African American Museum and grounds of former Colman School, Jimi Hendrix Park will be a primary focal point for multi-cultural events, gatherings, and activities for the community.

To date, the Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation has helped raise in excess of $1 million dollars en route to our goal of $1.5 million. As we approach our intended goal, plans are underway to break ground on the new Jimi Hendrix Park this Summer.
