My new album is out!
This project means a lot to me – it’s a piece of my life, my history, and of what we’ve created here as a family.
The Stephen McCraven Heritage Quintet brings together five musicians and one heartbeat:
@RickyFord (tenor sax), @SulaimanHakim (alto sax), @LamineSow (djembé & vocals), Florent Allirot (double bass), and myself on drums.
Our music is rooted in African and African-American traditions, bringing an organic sound, connecting past and present.
I’m very proud of what we created together. I hope you’ll feel the same energy, soul, and unity that we put into every note.
