Tomorrow night I’ll be playing a set at Brebl here in Nijmegen in The Netherlands with the very talented Elise Bos who is releasing her very first single ‘Train’.

‘Away With Birds is the first musical cooperation of the brothers John
and Pat Carrie.
‘Away With Birds’ sounds raw, folky and sometimes a bit freaky. But
above all, very honest
and always hopeful.
Away With Birds finds inspiration from artists from the independent folk
and alternative music scene, such as
Jason Molina, Bonnie’Prince’ Billy, Sparklehorse, Vic Chesnutt and
Dangermouse.
The aim wth this project is to encourage listeners and other musicians
to stay true to themselves and to their creativity.
John says: “It is important to stay creative and
not become cynical. Even if it looks like
in the music industry there is little room for
raw talent. That is what we want to convey with
Away With Birds. “
