Grammy Awards 2013

C’est cette nuit à Los Angeles que se tenait la cérémonie des Grammy Awards 2013. Sting, Bruno Mars, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake ou encore Beyoncé se sont succédé sur scène tandis que le palmarès a été dominé par les Black Keys et Gotye.

C’est un hommage au regretté Bob Marley, qui aurait fêté ses 68 ans ce mois-ci, que les trois pointures ont interprété en live. Mais tout d’abord, c’est Bruno Mars qui a fait danser la salle avec son tube rétro“Locked Out of Heaven”, premier extrait de son album “Unorthodox Jukebox”. Entouré de ses nombreux musiciens et de sa mélodie entêtante, l’artiste a une nouvelle fois brillé mais c’est véritablement la venue de Sting, armé d’une guitare, qui a conquis l’audience. Un clin d’œil amusant quand on sait que ce titre est, pour beaucoup, très largement inspiré du répertoire de Police. Ensemble, ils ont ainsi envoyé un message très clair concernant cette affaire.

A la fin du morceau, le tempo s’est ralenti et Sting a commencé à interpréter le célèbre “Walking on the Moon” de Police. Pour profiter de cette mélodie reggae, Rihanna, accompagnée de Ziggy et Damian Marley, a fait son apparition sous les applaudissements. Tous ensemble, ils ont alors repris le classique “Could You Be Loved” de Bob Marley, porté par les trompettes et l’énergie folle émanant de la petite troupe. Dans le public aussi, la température est montée d’un cran, surtout quand toute la salle a frappé dans les mains lors du pont a capella. Entre deux remises de prix – Adele, fun., Gotye et Mumford & Sons ont dominé la soirée -, le rideau s’est levé sur Adam Levine et ses collègues. Nommé à deux reprises, Maroon 5 est reparti les mains vides mais n’a pas manqué d’imposer sa patte lors de la cérémonie. Le groupe a fait l’impasse sur ses deux succès “Payphone” avec le rappeur Wiz Khalifa, pourtant présent dans la salle, et “One More Night”, pour braquer les projecteurs sur son nouveau single “Daylight”. Sous les cris du public, le leader a fait résonner sa voix aiguë, plongé dans une atmosphère bleu-nuit. Mais moins de deux minutes plus tard, Alicia Keys a fait son entrée.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Il était difficile de se faire une place de choix sur la scène des Grammy Awards hier soir, entre Rihanna et le retour triomphal de Justin Timberlake. Pourtant, Maroon 5 et Alicia Keys ont relevé le défi haut la main grâce à un mashup “Daylight / Girl on Fire”. A re-découvrir sur Pure Charts !

La nuit dernière, la cérémonie des Grammy Awards 2013 était l’endroit où il fallait être. Mais comme tout le monde n’avait pas ses entrées, Pure Charts propose un retour sur les meilleures prestations de la soirée. Entre le vibrant hommage à Bob Marley assuré par Sting, Bruno Mars et Rihanna, et le retour en fanfare de Justin Timberlake avec “Suit & Tie”, difficile pour les autres artistes de créer l’événement. Pour se démarquer, le groupe Maroon 5 a apporté un peu d’originalité en faisant appel à Alicia Keys sur un mash-up de “Daylight” et “Girl on Fire”.
