After years of playing to audiences all over the world – with scores of shows packed with musical brilliance – how do they pick what ultimately makes it on their new album?

Well, the Artists listened to every single show and found the best-of-the-best, “super-magic” takes.

New Year’s Gift to all Musicians

A Very Special Master Class from Mad Hatter Studios East

January 11, 3pm ET

Ok.  This is the real deal.

Two long-time friends and musical compadres – Return to Forever co-founders Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke. Passin’ it down. In ways you can easily apply to your own personal mission to become a better musician.

It’s actually pretty unbelievable: Chick decided this year to start a grassroots movement. To impart, to fellow musicians worldwide, what he and his genius friends have learned over a lifetime of music at the highest levels. Broadcast over the internet from his own video studio.

And in this case – as a New Year’s Gift to all musicians and/or appreciators of the same – FREE to you.

Get your ticket here!

Keyboard players, bass players and all musicians, get ready.

You’ll get to check out Chick’s voicings on Miles Davis’ classic “All Blues” (on our smartly placed overhead camera that enables you to see every detail of Chick’s hand position on the keyboards). Stanley’s fingering, bowing technique and flat-out magic on “No Mystery.”

Inside scoop on RTF tunes like “After the Cosmic Rain” … how Chick and Stanley approach each other’s compositions – watch them work it out. This stuff is so hard they’re still practicing it after all these years! 🙂

The perennial Grammy-nominated and -winning duo, answering questions from real musicians on real musical challenges. Chick on “how to take it out.”  Stanley on how to play “above chords.”  And so much more. Really an amazing masterclass.

The warmth and casualness of this beautiful hang with these best of friends comes right through the pixels on your computer screen (or wherever you’re checking this out from).

No matter what level of musician you are – you will learn something valuable from this online masterclass! Maybe a little. More probably a lot.

Anyway, words can’t do it justice. Here it is. Your New Year’s Gift from Chick & Stanley.

Yours in music,

Bill Rooney

Hi there,
For the last couple of months, Chick and crew have been working hard to ramp-up the production of the Chick Corea Music Workshops, including a video studio (lovingly dubbed Mad Hatter Studios East) for recording and live-streaming new teaching sessions.
And it’s almost time for the Grand Opening!
But we need your help to complete this one …
If you can spare 60 seconds, please take a quick survey to tell Chick about your preferences for the workshop. This is much appreciated, and we’ll definitely use the info to help guide the workshop sessions.
Can’t wait to show you more details – stay tuned!

It all started when he decided to bring an audience member onstage and improvise a musical portrait — something he hadn’t done in decades:
