Gary Lucas in Havana 12/7/12
Gary Lucas just wrapped up a very busy year with shows in Paris, Prague and Havana, where he performed solo on national Havana Radio and Radio Taino, as well as three shows at the Gaia Arts Center.
Gary just got back from the UK where he collaborated and recorded with legendary Peter Hammill for a new duo project in Bath
On Feb. 17th Gry Lucas returns to the Amsterdam’s famed Paradiso, where he has performed over 30 times in his career, for a gala concert “The World of Captain Beefheart”, produced by
Co de Kloet. Gary and the 60 piece Metropole Orchestra plus very special guest Nona Hendryx will play tribute here to all phases of the music of American visionary genius Don Van Vliet,
a/k/a Captain Beefheart.
